TYPES AND TREATMENT TO DIABETES

Next, we look at the types and solutions to them all.I mean the TYPE 1, TYPE 2 and THE GESTATIONAL DIABETES.

1.TYPE 1 DIABETES
Of all the types of diabetes, type 1 is the most common in children. In fact it is most often diagnosed in children or young adults but it can strike at any age. Type 1 is considered an autoimmune disease because the body destroys the cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Therefore, the pancreas is unable to supply enough insulin to live.
The destruction of the insulin producing cells can happen slowly over time or this condition can develop quite suddenly for reasons that medical scientist do not fully understand. The symptoms of type 1 include increased urination, increased thirst, weight loss, constant hunger, extreme fatigue, blurry vision, and even person with diabetes coma.

2.TYPE 2 DIABETES
Of all types of diabetes, type 2 is the most common. Type 2 is linked to obesity, genetics, and physical inactivity. It is estimated that nearly 80 percent of people who have this type of diabetes are overweight. Due to the growing obesity epidemic among children today, type 2 is now being diagnosed among children and teens when it was once primarily seen with older ages. Those naturally fat are more liable to sudden death than the thin.
With type 2, the pancreas produces a sufficient amount of insulin but for one reason or another, the body cannot utilize it. This is called insulin resistance. If this condition is allowed to linger for years, the pancreas begins to produce less and less insulin and the amount of glucose in the blood increases which results in person with diabetes symptoms.
Among the types of diabetes, type 2 has symptoms that develop the slowest. It is a chronic gradual development. The symptoms include frequent urination, frequent hunger, frequent thirst, blurred vision and wounds that are slow to heal. It is even possible to have type 2 and not know it.

3.Gestational Diabetes
Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes in pregnant women. It usually goes away after the woman gives birth but indicates she is at a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life.
Like other types of diabetes, gestational diabetes is a condition of a shortage of insulin. This could be cause by pregnancy hormones that interfere with its production or utilization. Women who have gestational diabetes may not experience symptoms but if left unchecked, increased glucose levels could cause complications with the pregnancy, delivery, or harm the unborn baby.
. Diabetes that is untreated could result in blindness, limb amputation, and even death. Diabetes is no longer a disease of old people. It can strike anyone at any age.
Diabetes is not the result of insulin deficiency but the result of pancreas exhausted by an overdose of refined sugar and carbohydrate. Inclusive is the deficiency of all vitamins and minerals involved in digestion, transport and which make use of sugar. Insulin resistance is both an imbalance of blood sugar and insensitivity to the hormone. It is insulin that helps to carry the glucose out of the bloodstream when we eat carbohydrate foods.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), diabetes is expected to increase because of lifestyles changes including increases in Obesity.
171,000,000 people suffered from it in 2005 and it is projected to grow to 366,000,000 by 2030. In fact many medical researchers now believe that for every person diagnosed with diabetes, there will be 2 or more individuals in a state of pre-diabetes.
Obviously, diabetes has not been stacked to a particular age, it is possible for all to be victims by virtue of what we eat. The next thing to be thought of is the possible solution. It should be noted that insulin is not the cure of diabetes.

CARBOHYDRATE-A DIET

Diabetes is a disorder that affects the way the body manages blood sugar or glucose. Glucose enters the body through an individual's diet; it then makes its way through the intestinal tract where it is absorbed. Once in the blood stream, the sugar is absorbed by the cells which require the glucose to function. Glucose is an important energy source in the body. In a person with diabetes the blood sugar levels are elevated whilst cell sugar levels are depressed. A person with diabetes either has cells that are no longer able to absorb glucose or do not have enough insulin which is the hormone responsible for cell glucose absorption.
Diabetes, also known as diabetes mellitus, is a general term for a variety of different metabolic disorders that affect the ability of the body to process and use sugar properly. Medically, this is referred to as an inability of the body to metabolize glucose effectively. This results in an abnormally high level of glucose in the blood, called hyperglycemia.
Left untreated, hyperglycemia can lead to serious long-term complications, such as kidney failure, blindness, serious skin infections, gangrene, cardiovascular disease, birth defects, stroke, disability, and death.
The major types of diabetes include type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. The earliest form of type 2 diabetes is called prediabetes. Some forms of diabetes, such as type 2 diabetes, are becoming more common.
All of these are similar in that they are metabolism disorders involving the pancreas, insulin regulation, and glucose. However, the causes for these types of diabetes are different and therefore they require somewhat different approaches when it comes to treatment.
Basically, it could be seen that the major cause of diabetes is from our daily diet and not being hereditary as some believe. Before you begin to think of hereditary, consider the diet of the family. if the same food a diabetic father is eaten by the children, then there is a great tendency of having a re-occurrence of the ailment (DIABETES).
